Personal Bio

I am a former Masters student of Computing Science at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My research area was scheduling in distributed systems. Recently, I completed my thesis, entitled "Data-Conscious Scheduling of Workflows in Metacomputers", having defended successfully in mid-August.

I am originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where I obtained my Bachelor in Honours Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, and worked in private and public industry for two years before coming to Edmonton. As of November, 2005, I am living in Vancouver, working at Agilent Technologies.

Away from work, I enjoy strategy and role-playing computer games, swimming, skating, playing piano, and more recently ballroom dancing. I am also, according to several former residence mates, a master chef who spends far too much time cooking and washing dishes.
