Real-Time Volume Rendering (September 27- October 18)

During
this period we will analyze various real-time volume rendering techniques. We
will start by reading a tutorial
from Eurographics that will cover most of the material. You should also read
the paper by Kaufman
and the Eurographics STAR
paper.

For
a review of the various sensing modalies in medicine please read the following
paper (Medical
Visualization).
·
We
will also work on real-time volume rendering on VolView.
·
You
should start also loading VTK on your PC using the instructions at http://www.vtk.org. Also take a look at the
excellent tutorial
on VTK.

You
should also read the tutorial on ITK.
