Grading system for Lab Exercise #2
Students in my lab should demonstrate the exercise to me before
the end of the 3rd lab. I have a preference
to not receive lab exercise #2 programs via email. Following a
demonstration, if the program does not have the appropriate level
of polish, students can revise the program and re-demonstrate it.
The following checklist will be observed in order to pass the demo:
- unused descriptors should be closed
- the parent must fork off a child for each input line it receives
- no extra processes should be running afterwards: each child should
exit after processing a line of input
- the child should manipulate the text in some way
- the child must link it's stdout to the pipe that
is read by the parent
- answers to the exercise questions should be known
