Principles of Knowledge Discovery in Data Assignment 2 Due Date: May 12th, 2006 at 13:00(hard deadline) Percentage overall grade: 5% Penalties: 20% off a day for late assignments Maximum Marks: 10 This assignment is about writing a project proposal. You are asked to write 2 pages (on your own), without copying and pasting text from elsewhere (you can paraphrase) and if more than two sentences are copied references have to be given. These two pages should outline you term project. The first page will describe the context of the project, what you plan to achieve and related work, while the second page would explain the methodology you plan to follow to achieve your goals. Finally, a third page could be added to contain any references. The projects were already assigned to you. You can (and are encouraged) to discuss the projects with me before writing this assignment. While you are working in teams for the project, each team member has to write his own project proposal. You can consult each other, but you can not copy text from each other. The project proposal should convey you anderstanding of the project and what is expected from you. IMPORTANT: You will be marked based on what I understand you appreciate from the project and what you plan to do to achieve it. It is you responsibility to convince me that you indeed understand the project and what needs to be done. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Write your own proposal. Marks will not be based on correctness od English. This is not an English class. However, I have to be able to read the proposal and understand what you mean.
