Professor Nelson Amaral is one of 10 recipients of the 2020 Remote Teaching Award!

Nelson Amaral is one of the recipients of the 2020 COVID-19 Remote Teaching Awards by the University of Alberta, which recognizes the efforts of professors and instructors, and the many people who support them, to transform remote teaching environments after the pandemic began.

From the University of Alberta website: "In order to recognize these outstanding individuals, the University of Alberta will award ... COVID-19 Remote Teaching Awards to be distributed amongst full-time faculty members (staff category A1.1), full-time Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) (staff category A2.1), and other full-time employees contributing to transforming remote teaching environments after the pandemic began while exemplifying the University of Alberta’s values - excellence in teaching, creativity and innovation, delivering an intellectually rewarding education environment for all learners, and, above all else, an unwavering commitment to serving the public good in the face of adversity and unprecedented challenges."
